Sean Reid just put a nice review of various 90mm's for the M8 but the CV looked like it might be a good opition for the R-D1.

But the R-D1 doesn't have any 90mm frame lines.

Has anyone used this lens on the R-D1 and what did you do for framing?

with 1.5x VF, isn't the 90 functioning as a 135 on the rd1? if so, perhaps using an aux. finder would be necessary for the tighter frame? I have an old Leica finder; if you want to buy it, send me a PM.
respectfully, thomas

Focusing using the small baselength rangefinder of the RD1 might prove a challenge with the 90 mounted. The CV 75 might serve better.

I used the CV 90 on the R-D1 and it focused fine. The parallax issue is indeed more of a problem than the framelines...so you're a little off on the framing, that's OK, really, in the digital world.

I got my epson from tmessenger, he drilled the dual dots in it, I don't have a lanthar, but an elmar-c 90 F4, and it's pretty dang accurate. Parallax, however, is usually a problem at closer distances, but overall it's good. I've even used a 135mm hektor and although more aparent, I somehow managed... always wanted to try the lanthar, i bet it's a great performer on the R-D1.
