Won mine two years ago. Only time it didn't work was when the meter stopped. Later I learned the proper way to insert the replacement battery.
It's a favorite now. I love the LTM mount as I'm able to use all my lenses(German,Russian, Japanese), Woe-Ho!

Bought my R2M new in 2009 and have used it on a regular basis ever since, never had any problems with it. I enjoy the tactile qualities of my M2 better and found some other gear I want to acquire so I am planning to try and sell it on Craigslist soon. If that fails, it may show up in the RFF classifieds along with some other things.

Last saturday I was taking picture of my girlfriend in a studio just for fun.
My Bessa R3M with Nokton 1.1 attached to it, was mounted on a tripod.
While meddling with softboxes I tripped over the tripod. The camera was about 1,6m above the ground and it totaled on the concrete floor lens first. Had a high grade UV filter and the stock hood on it. The hood got totally bent and it threw the rangefinder off on the camera. Just got the rangefinder aligned and everything is perfect.
This happened to me 5 years ago. With a Canon dSLR and a Canon lens. Had to throw away the lens.
Love the camera and love the lens. Just love it.
