CV Color Heliar 2.5/75

Couldn't withstand...bought a used Heliar 75 from dealer (because of warranty), here the first result:
Distance approx. 2 meters, ISO 800, low light, aperture 2.5, exposure time 1/60

Found it easy to focus, focussing ring was smooth and feels exact, apertrue as well with solid clicks. Color temperature fully open differs not so much from if steps down.

Andreas, it looks like you'll be a happy man. While 75mm may not be as good as 105mm for tight head shots, it should be better for general work.

I do not understand why colour temperature should change with aperture. Explain, please.

nice little lens! I loved mine, only sold it because of its minimum distance with no-crop cameras

Mayadam,

concerning the color temperature: I have no explanation, its just something I coming over. When taking pics with my Junpiter 3, there is a significant difference with aperture 1.5 (pictures are more yellowish/redish) and 2.0 and more (pictures ae more greenish/blueish).

I love this lens too, I use it with my Bessa-T and the matching 75 VF.
This lens is a guarantee for sharp pictures and nice soft backgrounds.

Nice. How do you frame with this lens on the R-D1? Do you imagine the frame edges somewhere within the 50mm frame lines, or do you use an external view finder?
Also -- do you find it easy to achieve correct focus wide open on the R-D1?

yes, indeed: I take the 50 mm lines and deduct a little bit all around - et voila ("little bit": something in the region of the rf patch field). Works pretty good for me.

I really love turret finder and all these stuff, but if you get more and more familiar with lenses and framelines, then you will not need them really. I think the technical term for framing without exact framelines is "guestimation" ;-)
