CV Color Skopar 28/3.5 LTM Lens Hood

Hi guys, that's my first post here.
I've recently bought a very nice chrome Color Skopar 28/3.5 LTM but w/o the original screw-over lens hood. Probably hard or impossible to find one as replacement. I asked Cosina but so far no response. I found one skilled technician who is able to make an exact copy. Could anyone tell me the dimensions of the ring? Specifically the length and thickness. Female thread seems to be about 41.5 mm or so. It has the same thread as the hood of my CV 21/4 P M mount. Does anybody have any advice?

I've considered the LH-1 but I'm afraid that this hood will block the viewfinder of M6 too much.
I live in Europe and Cameraquest doesn't ship overseas. In addition, the postage, customs, tax, makes it more expensive.
But luckily I found one LH-1 in stock at local CV dealer. So I'll be able to try the hood before buying.
 
You really don't need a lens hood with the 28/3.5 Skopar (other than the small circular hood that comes with the lens). The coatings on the lens make it highly flare resistant. I've shot this lens for years and never had a problem with flare. If you want a hood to protect the front element, of course, that's a different matter. I always have a filter on my lens for that purpose.
 
All of the externally threaded hoods are the same for all of the screw mount scopars, no matter the focal length. If you can't find an original hood, just buy a cheap used 39mm filter or two and take the glass out. This will offer the same shading as the OEM hood. If you want a bit more shading, then get one of the generic 39mm straight or tilted vented hoods from ebay. They are inexpensive and work well.

Standard screw generic hood is vigneting at 28mm!
They are perfectly fine but you have to look for the one that says "wide" - is lower in hight than the standard one.
Standard hight metal hoods are fine with 35 and 50mm lens.

Thanks for your advice. I understand that the lens is highly flare resistant, thank goodness. I only hoped that I could find the original small circular hood that commonly comes with the lens. I also use a filter for protecting but without any hood. I have no idea if the original hood shields significantly when mounted on the lens and a filter is used. Do you think that I can use only a filter without the appropriate hood in more or less ordinary light condition?
So far I haven't processed the first test roll of film.🙁

Thanks for your advice but I'm a bit confused. Shouldn't it be: "all of the internally threaded hoods" instead of "all of the externally threaded hoods"? The original hoods for the LTM Skopars have a female thread.

I found a hood for the LTM 25/4 Snapshot Skopar as well as for LTM 35/2.5 Color Skopar on eBay. Both are the original screw-over circular hood. These look the same as for the 28/3.5. Do you think I can use them?

Thank you for your suggestion, but I would rather had the original hood. Too bad that the spare parts in factory are sold out. Maybe Pazdera's shop has one... 🙂 Zdravím
