I'm wanting to add a wider lens for my CL. Currently I've got the 2/40 Summicron and the 90mm Elmar-c. I almost entirely shoot street with this CL (even with the 90mm). I tend to shoot BW mostly but sometimes color.
I am having a hard time deciding between the two CVs the 21mm or 15mm. Any thoughts appreciated.

I have both in LTM (and the CV12 as well) and I find the 21mm the most useful. The 12 and 15 are too wide at times, IMO.

Thank you ... this was my concern actually with the 15.I have both in LTM (and the CV12 as well) and I find the 21mm the most useful. The 12 and 15 are too wide at times, IMO.

There's a significant difference in the angle of view of a 15mm lens v. a 21mm lens. You might want to check out the difference for yourself (see link below). No need to select a lens - just use the slider to the appropriate FL.

The 15mm is a challenge but can be fun at times. I usually ended up cropping in post because 15mm was just too wide for me. For me, the 21mm is more useful.

That is an awesome lens emulator!! Thanks for sharing.
I've got a fisheye for my D90 and it's really more gimmicky for me than anything else. I use it on such rare occasions. But with that said, I'd never want to get rid of it.
For street, the wider angles appeal to me, honestly, because of the wider focal ranges meaning larger margin for error when zone focusing. It's a weak reason I know but it is a consideration for me.

Nice slider! This said, of the CV lenses, the 15 and 25 lenses are my favorites.

25 on the cl is a perfect fit...and no need for an external finder, just use the entire finder in the camera.

Thanks much for all the feedback everyone. I started looking into the CV 25 and ultimately ended up with the 21 mostly because I just want as much difference as I can get from the 40 Summicron without going too wide like 15. Partly too because I came across a good deal on a 21. For now, I'm going to see how I shoot without the hotshoe viewfinder. I am very much looking forward to trying this out.
