cv quartet

I had a bit of that woozy stuff going on when I started with the 21 G finder, it has passed, I shoot that lens a fair bit.

That 15 finder seems just like my Rollei branded 40 finder- there is something 'hyper clear' about the glass in that- I can imagine that glass really wide might take some getting used to.

Not sure that I did anything to get over that with the 21, although my Meclizine (vertigo meds) were employed along the way. It just stopped getting to me, guess my brain was able to get wrapped aorund it.

my stomach just did a flip looking through the 15 finder!
it seems fuzzy, forces me to use the lower (close-up) third of my tri-focal eyeglasses.

Skip the finder, put you nose in the eye piece and strap around your head over your ears. Wear the camera and just use your eyes as the finder. Trigger the shutter with a long release and you will pioneer a new shooting style. 😱

Joe, that's a very nice kit you've put together. If you do purchase the non-RF coupled CV 25mm lens at some point, consider using the accessory finder rather than the camera's framelines so you won't have the RF patch cluttering your composition. The CV 25mm is roughly the same size as the CV 35/2.5.

Very good choices, I wish I could compartmentalize my photographic life like that, my stuff is like a garage sale, or if you are in UK a jumbo sale. It all fits, but I would rather have a set up like yours.
Welll then.. I can take some of that burden off 😉

i can't stop drooling!! great kit. i've just recently succumbed to the japan made voigtlander RFs after holding out for the last 6 years. now i can't put them down. all my kit are used but still great condition. the previous owners have moved on to newer bodies. i own a bessa R2 and L with CV 21,25, and nokton 50. can't wait to see your pics.

just one more...

Just wondering within what time frame you'll sell it all again ..... anyone taking wagers here ?

Enjoy your new toys Joe.

If I had to deal with that many new lenses at once, I would probably get overwhelmed and stay home. I hope you've got a big notebook to jot down which image you shoot with what lens.

Enjoy your new kit in good health, Joe. I have an R and an R3A, so I guarantee that you will relish your new gear. R's have a special feel all their own.

Ya got 3 color skopar lenses there Joe - worth a dabble in colour. Knock your socks off with some fuji velvia 100 maybe....Waiting for the processing is worth it!

Its a top kit. I especially like the thought of that little 28 and r4m - i think that would be my ideal carry around kit.

the 4 cv lenses i ordered have arrived in today's mail.

the 15/21/28 and 35, all slow and all incredibly tiny will live with the r4m that i got last week.
the 40 rokkor that is still in the mail will be the lone outsider used on sunny days instead of the more contrasty 35/2.5.

this should be an incredible kit and getting the 25 cv is tempting just for it's size alone.

i look forward to the domke f6 bag that will become home to the kit.

the zi is going to rest for the next month or so while i get accustomed to the new gear and start my wide angle exploration.
