This is my first post, but have been coming here for several years.
I'm thinking of buying an xe1, but need some guidance.

I have a CV 15, a CV 28 1.9, and a CV 35 1.7 from my Bessa film days. I also have a nex 7 which doesn't play well with the CV15 because of the magenta cast. I have used corner fix which has helped. Does the xe1 have the same problem with the magenta cast in the corners and on the sides? Also, the nex 7 evf crushes the shadows, but my OMD does not. How does the xe1 compare in terms of evf contrast?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Alan

My results show no magenta sides/corners with the 15 even at f22 ISO 6400 1/30. Just did this test, so no upload for now!

I use it on X Pro 1 with no issues. I do get some smearing wide open with the 15 and the 21/4; but nothing that would stop me from using it.

Yeah, I use the CV 15 on the X-Pro1. I've noticed the smeared corners when wide open, but only after reading about it being a potential issue and actively looking for it.

I usually put a slight vignette on my shots anyway, so it's not very noticable for me. Love the CV15 on the X-Pro1, it's a great combination!

I'm using the 15CV M mount version, usually at f.8.0 on the XE-1. Remarkable lens... Very little color shift and good sharpness, even at the edges. Whats in focus at the edges is at a different distance than the center.

file attached, CV 15, XE-1, F8, I think.

A bit late to this thread and I have to agree with all that's been said above by everyone. I use the 15mm on my Xpro 1 and it works well. Not noticed the smearing really but then I don't look for any. It is a slow lens but one advantage is being able to set focus and shooting like its a p&s, very fast. Image quality for me is great and its the only lens I kept after selling my RD1. I'd say find friendly dealer of Xe1 user and see if you can give it a go. I reckon you'll be pleased.

If you check out my posts all I've been using with my X-E1 is my CV 15mm (LTM ver)
I can't compare with other digital bodies but I have no complaints. It's an awesome lens.
Don't worry too much about technical details...just go out and shoot!
