CVUG list?

Hey,
Can anyone on the CVUG e-list give me some help.
March 31, 2005 I subscribed to the CVUG list and received a confirmation sent to my email address, with my passwood and everything.
In two weeks I've not received one post, so I sent a test post - Nothing.
Now when I try to access the list with my email and password, it says "access denied".
Did I forget the secret handshake? 😕

i'm on the list but have had no problems. did you have to reply to the confirmation email?
i can't remember the process.

maybe sign up again, and use a fake name.🙂

Yeah, did you reply to the conf email that was sent to you? I would reapply and when that comes, just hit reply and send. Thats all you have to do. Enjoy 🙂

I too had trouble getting on the CVUG list. I get the mail version as I often can't read the web list. Maybe you can drop Stephen Gandy a line and see if he can help.

Yes, e-mail Steven from his cameraquest site if you continue to have problems.. He's very responsive.

You know, something similar happened to me. I joined a couple months back. Got a few emails. Then it stopped. I went and cancelled my account. Re-applied, replied to the confirm email, got a few emails, and it stopped again. I used two different emails, first time was an sbcglobal.net account, the second time my Gmail account. I thought maybe boucing was causing it to stop emailing me but I have no reason to believe either would be bouncing. I gave up too.

It's been crap since they changed from Topica. I tried to get the Web version & couldn't. I finally gave up.

Try subscribing to the digest version, rather than individual emails. I switched after a couple of false starts and it's been fine.

And I agree with Elrodcod. It, and the rangefinder group have been crap since they left Topica.
