Hi all,

I like to explore the potential of those gears that otherwise would have no use. Those CZJ Tevidon lenses were designed for HD 16mm sine cameras, and these are APO glasses corrected for 400-1000nm wave lengthes, and no focual adjustment is needed for infra-red films. Those with a focual length longer than 70mm could be used on a DSLR and covers the full frame.

Here is a 70/2.8 lens converted to M42 mount and used on a Canon 300D. The 1st iamge is a resized full frame, and the 2nd is a 100% crop without PS.

These are some of the sharpest lenses I have used so far.:) Some of these are still been made by Doctor-optics.

Cheers,

Zhang

CZJ Tevidon 70/2.8 and 18-90/F2 in M42 mount.

I used a M42 ring for the 70/2.8 and a spare M42 mount for the Russian Nikon mount 100/2.8 lens for the zoom Tevidon. The 100/2.8 lens came with both mounts that can be changed with a screw driver. I drilled 3 holes on the M42 mount for the 18-90 zoom Tevidon.

In case you have such a lens and want to make use of it, this is FYI.

hi there

Can you mount Tevidon 1.8/16 on Panasonic G1? Does this lens C-mount?

They say it has C-S mount -- is this true?

Thanks..

Can you give me some more info and photos about converting Tevidon 18-90 with c-mount to M42 mount. Thanks

You should use that fantastic glass on a NEX or a µ4/3. That really makes sense.

My Tevidon 18-90 has a special mount, not a C mount. I removed that mount and found a spare M42 mount for some Russian Nikon mount lenses and drilled 3 new holes on the M42 mount for Tevidon lens.
Like said in another post, this lens could be good for Sony Nex, or other micro 4/3 cameras. I haven't tried it yet.

Yes, some focal length Tevidon lens could produce excellent results on those cameras. These are for 16mm video cameras so some focul lengths lenses have a very small image area that doesn't cover even M 4/3 sensor's.

In regard to coverage of 70mm and longer, is that full-frame in the sense of covering a full APS-C frame, or a standard 24x36 frame?

Is it possible to convert to m42 with off-the-shelf items, or is some mill/lathe work required?

A Canon 300D's frame at close-up distance as shown in my first image. I think you need some DIY parts to make it a M39 mount lens. I happened to have some parts that can be used.
