I own a D3S which I use for work. Other than for work, it stays at home in it's bag with all it's lenses. It's just too big.

I really want an M9. I already own an MP with a 50 Lux and a 35 Nokton.

With the recent release of the Nikon D7000 (Quality seems to be ALMOST as good as the full frame D3S sensor at high ISO's, which I rarely use anyway), I am thinking of selling my D3S body and buying a D7000 (for work) and an M9 (for work and play).

Good idea? Bad idea?

OK. I needed my irrational justifications for buying an M9 smacked back into reality.
Thanks.

Still really really really want one though.

Why not just use an M9 for everything? Looking at your portfolio, it's not like you shoot sports or action that much. So what does the D3s do that is so beneficial?

A cheap Nikon makes a good back-up.

Yeah, well thats what I'm thinking. I do enjoy zooms for a lot of commercial work I do though, so the D7000 would seem an okay backup.

Now I'm unsure again.
