Film dino's post #15 gives the first semblence of a chemical rationale behind this experiment. I think you should have a vague idea of the chemistry instead of going in in the dark. Otherwise it's just a cool sounding chemical tossed into your developer - could be ay number of things from paracetamol to colgate.

D - 76 and lysergic acid diethylamide was a favorite with Captain Al Hubbard in the early 1950s.

[FONT=Times New Roman, Times, serif]Al Hubbard..
For such a pivotal character in recent history, Al Hubbard is remarkably little known. He is the unsung man who almost single-handedly introduced the world to LSD, as well as (to a lesser degree) mescaline and psilocybin. Albert Hoffman may have invented LSD, but Hubbard is the one who, in the very early years, gave it away like candy to some of the most influential people on the planet. LOL. I'm beginning to realize how a funny guy I could be.

yes, this CIA connected man of mystery was the original Captain Trips.
at age 19 he made a so called fuel-less motor that ran a boat at full speed for three hours.
imagine if we had a guy like this running the Leica firm ?
