D96 question

I have a bottle of D96 that I purchased for Ferrania which shows agitation as continuous, which is fine, but I can not find agitation listed for Double XX 5222.

Does anyone have experience with D96 and XX.

as far as i know, the times listed in massive dev chart are meant for ilford regime (10 seconds each minute).

Use your normal agitation. For 5222 in fresh D96, I use 7 mins at 20C with Kodak agitation - 5s every 30s for film exposed at EI200. Modify the time to adjust density as you prefer.

I have never found the Ilford or Kodak agitation regimes to provide a significant difference in results.

Back to report on use of D96 with Kodak 5222

I used the 7 mins with the 30 sec agitation

Here are a couple, pleased but the camera was a new to me Olympus XA and I missed on focus and settings a couple of times, I will use my IIIg next time.

These look really good, and typical of what 5222 + D96 produces. They might do with a little more contrast, but you can do that in PP or if printing use a harder filter/grade of paper.

Are you happy with them?

Here are a couple more, I do like them. I try to do as little as possible with brightness and contrast, but point taken.

I got the D96 for the Film Ferrania that I have but thought I would try the XX first.

Exactly my agitation, tho I do 8 minutes total. I do like a slightly stout negative for wet printing.

Steve I mix my D96 from scratch and develop 4 rolls in 1 L and then dump it, so I have no advice on times for re-use.
