Damn, almost out of rangefinders!

Just got a Zorki 4K and a useless Kiev left.... I sold my QL-17 and Bessa R just recently to finance my large format system. part of the reason I sold the Canonet and R is that I was stupid enough to try out a mint M3/50mm Summicron, and the feel of that camera was just unbelievable! The weight , smooth focus and bright viewfinder just got to me.... So my next rangefinder is certainly going to be a Leica, M3 or newer. While I liked the R and Canonet, both had their shortcomings, the R had some rangefinder alignment troubles and the Canonet was just too slow too handle for my style... :bang:
So as for now the Bessa L-25/4 is my everywhere/everyday camera...
I will find a new Jupiter 8 for the Zorki(Sold the J-8 with the R) because I miss it`s soft look for certain scenes, and it`s quite sharp stopped down...
Uh, what was this post all about? 😕 🙂

In short: I want a Leica! 🙂

Hi Amund, I'm sympathetic to your quest, having an M2 for a long time. I also have a Bessa-L with 25/4, so I know being "stuck" with this only is not nearly the end of the world, or the end of creative photography either. Have fun shooting and shopping! 🙂

Count me as the oddball.
I've never wanted a Leica. Maybe subconsciously afraid If I handled one, I'd want one.
Naaaaah.

Don't worry, nwcanon... I handled a Leica a long time ago, and I was, let's say, underwhelmed. My problem came when I touched one the second time. Then I knew I was doomed.

So, try it once, but not twice...

Amund, what was slow about the Canonet QL17?

Not that it was that slow in auto... But I don`t like shutterpriority automation, I like to have full control of my DOF. Using the QL-17 in manual is a pain compared to the L...
