thanks for the comments on the original "darker side." i deleted all of the curves-edited images from photobucket and here. thought i'd re-post with shadowy photos only photoshop auto-contrasted, then dust-spotted. all r2m, cv 35/2.5 color skopar, hp5, tmax 1+9. here goes, all jpegs:

cropped massively; look at all of those pixel thingies; would converting from tiff help tone that down?:

The best camera is one that still works!
The first photo does absolutely nothing for me as does number three. The heavy crop image with figures on the left is spoiled by the black hole on the right ... it dominates the image.
I like the last image the most by far for it's content and framing ... another couple of stops of exposure would have made it a lot better as it's just too dark ... and attempting a major recovery on it would probably turn it into soup I supect!.
ps ... there will be a little something going in the mail for you tomorrow!!
