Hi folks,

I'm posting here after a very long gap during which nothing much has happened, photographically-speaking. I'm now moving out of state and hence the post.

So far, I've used my graduate school darkroom facility. I'm moving to Schaumburg, IL (30 miles NW of Chicago) and am no longer in school. Does anybody here live in that region? If so, where do you go for your darkroom needs? Any darkrooms in the Chicago (or suburban) area that a general member of the public can use (for a fee or by membership) will work. Please advise.

Anand,

why don't you buy a changing bag, a tank and a couple of bits eg thermometer etc? That way, you'll be able to develop B/W film in your kitchen or anywhere. Printing is more of a problem and you'll need some space somewhere or access to a darkroom (can't help you there as I'm in the good ol' UK). However, you could always scan and print digitally, although few printers (except the more expensive epson, canon and HP ones) produce exceptional B/W prints.
