Hi all film developers from Montreal!
I've a backlog of >60 rolls to develop (ugh). I'm about to post an order of d-76, fixer and more triX on freestyle (shipping is so expensive!), but I was wondering - where can I buy these things in Montreal?
Do you have a favorite darkroom supplier here in the city?
Thanks in advance!

While I order from Freestyle on occasion, I've switched most of my ordering to B&H. For Canadians, they ship via Purolator with a reasonable fee and none of that wacky import duties that you can get nailed with.

Thanks for the suggstions!
I'm considering B&H, but prices are quite higher than Freestyle (e.g. Arista Premium vs. TriX) and they don't ship liquid rapid fixer (but I guess I can look for a replacement for that).
What do the import duties imply if you get stuff shipped from US? Delays, or more to pay? No experience whatsoever, since I recently moved from US.

PhotoService on Notre Dame street in Old Montreal has D76 and chemical concentrates, paper, quite a bit of stuff actually. I think freestyle photo is still the better place to buy film (if you're buying bulk). My freestyle orders have always been shipped to a US address and brought back for me, so I don't know about any import charges, but I think it's all duty free, you would only get charged tax (probably fed and prov).

Cheers
Steven

Thanks! PhotoService looks perfect for chemicals, I'll check it out.

I agree, film shipped to US from freestyle, and brought to Canada is still the cheaper solution... will probably do that.
