Hey everyone, thought I would share Davids new work - it's a process blog on the making of his new book on Rio. It's $1.99 to sign up and it's worth it - heaps of out-takes/contact sheets and bits and pieces.

Cheers.

Bought in from the first. Definitely worth far more than $1.99. Get ready for a wild ride, though. DAH's working style is a little, uh, free form when viewed in real time. lol

"free form"

Absolutely.... "loose" - I remember him saying. He definitely is one that gets in there... almost like he's part of the family.

I recall having a discussion with him with respect to his approach (stories, photographs, etc) and his style definitely contrasts that of one of his mentors, HCB. Not a "fly on the wall" type... he becomes part of the scene... and this is how he disappears.

It really was nice to watch him work - he'll dance, chat, party hard but in his head (and his output) he's working...

He is. But that's a very specific chapter of this documentary. Subjective and personal. No other way to do it than living it.
