He didn't live very far from me here in Massachusetts but I sold my Hasselblad equipment years ago and never had a chance to use his services.

Sounds like it was rather unexpected. This is very sad, for his family and for the photographic community. Seems as though he was THE Hasselblad guy in the US.

I used his services a few years ago. Sad to hear that.

I just sold the last of my Hasselblad gear last week.

David did a number of repairs for me over the years and his work was superb and he was a very nice, helpful fellow. Very sad to hear of his passing.

Oh no!! I just received my 500 cm back from him several weeks ago. I also spoke w/ him over the phone about a repair. His website mentioned he was undergoing treatment for cancer, but he sounded strong when I spoke w/ him. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to his family.
