Is there any reason not to develop film in print processing tubes?

Such as Jobo 2820 or 2830. There may very well be a good reason, since I cant seem to find much information, but it looks like you can develop 2 sheets of 4x5 with 40 ml of chemicals (just like paper) just by spinning them in a 2820 test strip tank. Or four sheets in the 2830.

Any cautions against this?

Tubes work fine. But if you process more than one sheet in the tube, you need a way to keep one sheet from overlapping the other during agitation. There are tubes designed to do this.

You can develop 4 sheets at a time in the Unicolor 8x10 print drum. Best if you also have the "rubber spacer" that originally came with it, to keep the sheets from overlapping.

Pyro PMK+ is not good with this drum (unless you remove the film and wash it outside the drum). The interior ribs interfere with the staining process. More conventional developers work just fine and no problems at all in twenty years.
