I have a couple Electro 35s and they both are dead. Tried new batteries but no meter lights on either one. I took the GTN apart and found a couple of broken leads but still no lights.
I guess I can use them using external light meter but the lens only operates at 1/500 of a second. Which kinda limits their use.
What is the weak spot in these old cameras apart from leaking batteries?
:bang:
Thanks in advance any ideas you might have.

Reciprocity Failure
two biggies - both can be repaired with varying degrees of ease.
1. Pad of death
2. corroded battery terminals

Doesn't the pad of death leave the lens open? I cleaned out the corrosion and soldered a broken wire back but both of these won't work on B or Auto and the shutter seems to fire only at 1/500 th.
The aperature open and closes but the shutter time is stuck.
Thanks
