Is it likely that I'll find a camera store stocking Voigtlander/Zeiss/Leica etc in Orlando? Boss is heading over for a conference so is an ideal opportunity to save on postage/tax etc 😱

Particularly looking for Voigtlander lenses/accessories but given the strength of the pound against the dollar at the moment I might even stretch to some Zeiss glass...

There are a few stores in and around the area but I don't know of one stocking rf items...a google search may help.

Cameras over the counter here don't seem too much cheaper than in the UK - and often US sourced battery powered cameras don't include chargers that work on a range of mains volts - just the US 110Vac (or thereabouts).

Mail order prices are considerably better for most items new - but just try and buy them and have them delivered to your hotel/rental property if your credit card isn't the same address!

Used gear prices are a bit of a lottery. Leica stuff isn't significantly cheaper than UK suppliers from places such as B&H and KEH...from what I've seen. Nor is Contax G and most accessories...though some from KEH are very much cheaper than ffordes...or are just more widely available.

I'd be happy to be proven wrong of course...I'm currently planning on moving my media business out to Orlando - TV is a growing industry here and so there are a good range of skills to employ locally...an excellent local camera store would be a bonus. 🙂

Lot of stores are there!! But i think instead of getting cameras, you can get a services from a photographer!! By the way, have you heard of MiNeeds.com? It really simplifies finding affordable photographers. I used it to find a photographer for my wedding. Essentially, after I described what I needed on this site, I received several competitive bids from local photographers. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to call around and negotiate with each, and that photographers actually came to me.

Colonial Photo & Hobby

Colonial Photo & Hobby

Colonial Photo & Hobby has had some Bessa's in the past. They have Leica gear, film, paper, somewhat decent supply of inkjet papers. They even have a small amount of medium format. They are located on North Mills Ave near the corner of Colonial (Route 50). They are also a hobby store with a lot of models and trains. They process E6 on short (less than 4hours) turn around. There is also a great asian market nearby if you like live fish!

Check out this pic - it's their storefront

Harmon Photo is also near them, a little further north but their selection is more limited I think.

Hope he has a good time in Florida!
