A black and white image shot today. This church is having it's guts torn out and replaced by something new.

Heh. It's a very good image, but does anyone else see a thumbnail of a camera bag instead of a church? I was almost expecting a literature lesson as a result... :D

And this is a camera bag picture I posted this morning that got wiped out by the change this afternoon. <cue the theme for the Twilight Zone>

I recently took a tour of the renovation of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento, CA. They are renovating the structure from the foundation up, and it is completely filled with scaffolding. It was an incredible sight. I asked one of the construction supervisors how long it took them to build the scaffolding and he said it took nearly a year for the engineer to plan (had to reinforce the structure throught the basement) and months to build.

Unfortunately, I was pushing my the limits of my hand-holding ability by shooting with my CV 35/1.7 at 1/15 sec and portra 400 bw.

Nice images. :) Its pretty amazing how it looks once they have all the scaffolding up. Seeing the stained glass windows between all the bars. I have one shot where the priest is standing in the middle of it all by himself. I will try to post it in the future.
