I shoot a 50 more often than not. I carry a 35 and a 75. I'll switch over to the 35 if I'm in tight spaces, and to the 75 if the background is too busy and I want to isolate the subject. For the most part, I choose the lens when I go into the situation and just keep shooting. Things have to change drastically before I'll switch.

I wear a beat up brown corduroy sport jacket with the requisite leather elbow patches. The roughness of the corduroy keeps the Bessa R strap from slipping about. The camera's got the 35/2.5 on it. In one jacket pocket is a Canon 50/1.8 for use when there's not a whole lot of light; in the other pocket several rolls of film.

That's it.

(Back in my SLR PJ days I carried two Spotmatic bodies, one with the 28/3.5, the second with the 135/2.5. Worked for me).
