well, there's a group on flickr and one on facebook:
http://www.flickr.com/groups/r-d1/
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=33835929691
but not much really happens in either place, discussion-wise.

Sorry joe, I wasn´t serious about your new job ... not realy
This is the only and lonely forum for R-D1.
At the leica-user-forum are sometimes "discussions" about the R-D1, but in fact that there is no red dot on it, they always agree R-D1(s, x) is an honorable effort and nothing more. After that they are going to continue to talk more about Leica and the less about fotografie or even RF, ending up in personal conflicts (exept you know Mr. Barnack himself).
Just my 5€

I don't think there's much to say about the R-D1. It just works. And when it doesn't, you do a forum search for Steve's Camera Repair.
If there were six million variations on the camera, a bunch of fakes, a Luftwaffe model, a Monte en Sarre model, a Swedish military model, a Luxus model, etc., then we'd need a forum in a big way.
I do like reading about how various lenses render on the R-D1, though, and this place is the place for that.

Oh no!
This has been my forum of choice since I first got my RD-1. I've searched around for other RD-1 related sources but haven't really found much either.
Geez - a chrome RD-1 would be cool.
