DeJur D-3/Perlux IIa -- rangefinder adjustment

Any assistance on this would be most appreciated. I got the DeJur yesterday and the RF works, but is way off. The only thing I've found that shows anything relevant is here: Neidig & DeJUR cameras

I would like to see how to remove the top cover, at the very least to clean the optics and see how the mechanism works. I know there is a rod that links the rangefinder cam to the prism, so it may be more complicated than just removing the top cover. But that would at least give me a start.

At the very least, the lens registration seems accurate based on a quick ground glass (i.e. matte tape) review -- could be a viewfinder camera a la Vito B if nothing else.

Bumping this up -- the camera has been quietly but rather impatiently staring at me on my desk. 🙂 It comes down to -- does the film wind lever unscrew clockwise or counterclockwise? Anyone know? I've tried (carefully) both ways and can't get it to shift. Obviously the last thing I want to do is apply more muscle and shear the screw.
