Delta 400 & Rodinal

Finally assembled the stuff I need to start doing my own B&W at home. I think I have everything I need now and decided I'd shoot a test roll of Ilford Delta 400 and develop it in Rodinal to makes sure I've got the process down (haven't developed any film since 1994). However, the inside of the film box doesn't have any development times for Rodinal. Anyone ever tried to use this film in this soup or do I need to try a different developer?

However, I have no experience with Rodinal myself. I've been a D-76 boy until my recent flirtation with Diafine.

I souped up some Delta 400 in Rodinal last week. Shot at 400ASA, 1+50, 20C degrees, 16.5 minutes. Great results!

I didn;t like that combo very much, Rodinal gets grain out of D400. The tonality is very good and sharpness is excellent though.

I preferred the 1+50 combo for 20 minutes (agitating every other minute) but even tried 1+100 for 45 minutes (agitating every 5 minutes)

Let me see if I can get this old neg scanner working and I'll post one or 2 examples

Thanks, Pablo. Yeah, that is awful grainy. Still, this is a test roll to see if the reel & canister I bought is light tight and to make sure I can a) mix chemicals properly and b) remember how to develop film after 11 years. I think I can put up with a little grain just this once.

Yes you can.
But if you are going to use the film for scanning Rodinal is not your bets solution.

Please remember that scanning exagerates the grain.
I haven;t had time to get into the real darkroom, and see how this one came out.
