Am I the only RFFer affected by Friday's derecho? Day six without power here. To quote Neil Simon, "This is Africa hot. Tarzan couldn't stand this heat."

What's a derecho? Some new word or have I just been missing it all these years?

If you are referring to the terrible destruction from last week, our hearts go out to you! No power. Unbelievably hot.😱

I had to look it up, as I've never heard of "derecho" either, except as the Spanish word that means "straight". This explains: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derecho
