Determining age of CV lens from serial number?

Well I've pulled the trigger on buying my first-ever CV lens, a Color Skopar 35/2.5. Out of purely idle curiosity, I'd be keen to know how old it is. Is there any rhyme or reason to the serial numbering such that one can parse the age out of that? Unless I'm search-impaired, I see only this three-year-old thread, essentially an unanswered question, about the topic. I'm only trying to narrow down whether the lens is closer to two or ten years old. I realize this is hair-splitting when I have other kit that is 40, 50, even 70 years old! As I said, idle curiosity. Thanks if anyone knows!

Yes I was afraid there was seemingly no reliable serial number resource out there yet. OK let's try a far less scientific approach: Is it indicative of age (or US vs. some other market??) that the original box, which the seller included for me, is green with product line art, rather than black with a product picture like I've mostly seen elsewhere (e.g. this advert in the classifieds). Again all this is academic as the lens arrived absolutely pristine and with almost no trace of use.
