I have a long way to go to get the results I would like, but it was fun:)

Indeed. There is no turning back now! If you want I'll give you an enalrger, so you can learn how to print too ;-)

Very promising as a start, pleasant rendering. HP5+ is a fine choice to start with as well as stick to. How about experimenting with one or two different developers too? :)

I wish I had started learning a long long time ago!..My young nephew has asked me to teach him, that is going to be even more fun.

Neopan 400 is also good though it's supposed to be phased out already. I still get mine locally (current). It's very fulfilling to develop your own.

My results have been very hit and miss but I don't mind that. I love colour and just sent some different makes off to Aperture for processing..My scanning skills are pretty awful and I don't understand Vuescan. No doubt my 12 year old nephew will make sense of it when we get to that bit together!..

Everybody started from zero, surely you'll get the hang of it soon. Keep on practicing. Spooling the film to the reel is much more difficult IMO specially 120 film if you're using the changing bag. If you hsva an iPod/iphone/ipad, you can download Massive Development Chart application. That will be a very useful app.

I would like to congratulate, and welcome, too! I remember how I did my first rolls of 120... even though I was quite adept at developing 35mm already it still felt like an adventure.

Greetings, Ljós

Developing 120 is a real buzz IMO because deep down inside your soul you know that this is the size a negative was meant to be! :D

Gawd, it's been 40 years since I souped my own 120, but I do remember what it was like. Still getting my gear together to start again.

PF

Thankyou for the encouragement :)
..I got to bed very late last night, it's addictive!.. Ordered a 3 reel tank this morning to buy some time to get out and take more photos!

Thanks for the tip, I'll start note making tomorrow as my timer and thermometer are arriving in the post, things have been a bit random up until now. Actually I've been mostly lucky I think.
