Hey everybody!

I just developed my first roll of film, I loved doing it, and I probably will develop a couple of more rolls tonight when I'm done with homework 🙂

I dropped the film on the ground, when mounting it in the Paterson tank, I didn't prepare the chemicals in advance (stupid!) and some other things went wrong, but I had fun!

details: Nature -> Sunny 16 -> 1959 rigid summicron 50mmf/2 -> Leica M3 -> Kodak Tri-x -> Ilford ID-11 stock 1:0 -> Ilfostop 1:19 -> Ilford Rapid Fix 1:4 -> Epson V350 scanner

I seem to have scratched the second photo, My second roll will go much better (and faster 🙂)

Life is good, Regards,

Robbert

It does get easier the more you do...just don't get careless...even after all these years I have to think through the process and not go into Auto-Mode...

Congrats on your first roll and good luck on your next...

Make sure the reels are completely dry before using them again, this will make reeling the film much smoother...enjoy...

Very nice tones in the first photo of the tree. I started doing my own developing a little while back and like nikon_sam said it does get easier and easier.

I did two rolls of 35mm and two of 120 today...it never gets old, you just keep on fine-tuning your ways...

After 30+ years of just spin-agitating I have seen the light when it comes to inverting the tank...I'm getting much better (more evenly developed) skies...I was seeing this on the 120 stuff lately...soooooo...I changed my ways...Thanks to you guys...

Seems like you had a very good start. The tone of the first image is impressive. May I ask how do you scan it and whether there is any post adjustment in the PS or etc?

...beautiful pictures!

Could you tell me how Epson V350 is working for you? Do you use auto loader and could you upload more pics scanned by V350 (colors please!)?

Thanks in advance!

I just did my first roll yesterday. Ilford HP5. Same procedure as Robbert. Cant wait to put it through my coolscan to see the result.
