Developing while traveling

Considering the circumstances, the time can probably be better spent meeting new people. I would save the developing for home.
 
As Roger said, I think this is the perfect time for a chromogenic film like XP2. Unless you need to push past 800, I think it's your best bet for using the film cameras you want and avoiding the hassle of developing or airport security.

Incidentally, I've never had a problem getting a hand check at US airports. If they ask you the speed you can just say that you push to 3200. I have no knowledge of Israeli airports, though.

Interesting thread. I don't even develop at home, so the complications of doing so on the road, in hotel rooms etc (like foreign correspondents used to) are fascinating.

Quietest 35mm camera must be the Minox 35, but any leaf shutter camera would be quieter than an F3.
