Saturday and Sunday Sept. 8-9 at the Grapevine convention center..

I have no financial interest in this show, other than as an interested attendee:

January 26 & 27, 2008
Grapevine Convention Center
1209 South Main Street, Grapevine, TX
Open to the public
Adults $5.00 admission
Children under 12 enter free with adult
Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 3pm

Do any other RFF members plan to attend? I expect to be there Saturday morning. Afterward, I may be enrolling in anti-GAS 12-step program.

I would be interested in meeting some of you face-to-face if possible. I'll be the geeky guy loitering around Leica/Canon RF gear. Oh wait, there could be other geeks....

Rats! Stuck in Houston AND pennyless. AND made a vow not to buy anything in 2008. Vow broken last Saturday, by the way. One is never really done!

I don't know what's worse-- being stuck in Houston, or being pennyless! Hehehe. Just kidding.

I shouldn't be buying anything either. But who knows, maybe I'll sell a Canon 7. I have 1 too many.

If there's any Leica gear I'll be there.

I've been told I'm too old to be a geek though...

Write me in too. I'll plan on 10 am Saturday. I'm also an old guy, probably too old but as long as I can get a cup of coffee I'll be OK.
I guess we can firm up plans later.

Yep. I missed the November Houston show for the first time in years because I was at a Texas Press Association thing. I'm planning on making the DFW show, though. Since my birthday is in September, I'm sure I can find a nice gift for myself :)

Cool! What day are you targeting? Saturday? Sunday? Both (like colyn)?

I'm planning on Saturday morning, myself.

I'll be Saturday at 10am.

Why don't you hold a poster "Rangefinder Forum" so we could recognize you.

I'm asking the organizer about a message bulletin board. I have a feeling we can work something out.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

I am hoping to make it there on saturday... looking forward to meeting RFF members there..

TY

If you see someone with a double stroke M3 hanging on his shoulder that'll be me.. I'll probably have a IIIf RD in my vest also..

Colyn, would your M3 happen to have a reddish leather covering?

That's my single stroke M3. It has the Indian Red leather from cameraleather.com. I had 2 of them covered in Indian red but sold one. My double stroke has black Aki-Asahi leather.

Would anyone be interested in getting a table at the show.

Last I heard from Don, a Table was $60, and tables were still available.
So if anyone has stuff for sale, perhaps we could get a table over there and get rid of some of the stuff we no longer use. The only issue might be manning the table for two days.

I might have a couple of items to sell, but I'm planning to market them to exhibitors, rather than attendees.

I agree with your assessment-- manning the table might be a problem.

Btw, I traded emails with Rick Vogan. His table will be the first one when you walk in the door. I will leave a note with him, with my name and RFF handle (crawdiddy), and arrival time. Others can do the same, and it may improve our probability of meeting each other.

I don't think it will be too hard to find each other. I was at this show a year ago, and there weren't hordes of people attending. These shows don't draw nearly as many in our post ebay world.
