dial problem

hi,
my iso dial stuck in the up position and it returns without lifting it. when i try to turn it to another iso values it seems to change but all photos are taken with 200 iso.
i can not put it it's down position back. anybody has the same problem.
by the way i don't know how this happened. a friend used my rd1 for a week and returned it like that.

You can start by unscrewing slightly the middle ring (around the shutter button) using tweezers, a few turns only (put the speed dial on AE to lock it first). Once unscrewed, try to turn the iso dial until it clicks down back in place (I would say counter-clockwise, but I'm not 100% sure). If it works, rescrew the middle ring tightly.

The first time I did it, it took me nearly half an hour to put it back in place, but since then I only need a few minutes. You just need tweezers of the appropriate size or a small spanner wrench.
