Diana+ lens on a leica ltm

i wasn't quite sure where to post this. either way i want to attach my diana+ lens to my leica. the lens is very special to me, i boiled it some time back and like the look of it now. up until now my only problem with toy cameras was exposure control, i dont mind blurriness and softness. if anyone has done this or something similar give me a shout.

if you can remove the whole Diana lens where it meets the body, you can probably just hot glue it to a hollowed out body cap. at least that is how i'd try to accomplish it.

You would probably need to scrap an entire Diana, instead of just the removable lens part. I would think you would need to measure the distance between the film plane and the lens on a diana, and then, using a body cap, fabricate a tube so that when the lens is mounted it is the same distance from the film plane.

Considering the lomography people are making diana mounts for nikon and canon now, and they sell feds and zorkis, i wouldnt be surprised if they didnt have plans for making an LTM diana mount eventually.

Took a bit to find that the Diana has a 75mm lens.

So what you want is a lens shell that is close to that focal length that you can use for a housing. Maybe an Elmar 9cm F4 would work. About the right size. You need to take out the optics module of the Elmat and secure the Diana lens to it, F-Stop and all. then, you need to make up a new distance scale to focus it.

I've done something like this before, using 50mm meniscus lenses on an I61 focus mount. But since i used a 50mm focal length optic, I RF coupled it.

You could do the same with an SLR shell. Or buy one?
