Canadian & Not A Dentist
I MUST have missed the announcement sometime ago but I was browsing @ B&H because I'm all out of 100 ASA/ISO film and I saw, to my surprise, that AGFA's APX100 is a "New Arrival" and in stock!
Is the formula the same as the "old" APX100?
I thought AGFA, for the most part, went the way of the do-do.
Clarification and assistance appreciated on this
Cheers,
Dave

I shot 2 rolls of the new APX100 recently. The old one was one of my favourites. That said, the new one doesn't seem to bad and here in Germany the biggest drug store chain offers it for a very good price which makes it the most available b/w film. Here are two examples (both pushed to 200 though, probably less grainy and contrasty at 100) shot with a Rollei 35T and developed in Rodinal 1+50 (already posted in the Rollei 35 picture thread).

It is typical a Kentmere 100/Ilford-Harman production because Lupus needed a film to put in their Agfa Photo brand boxes.

If it's like Kentmere I can live with it. Sure it's not the "old" Agfa APX (still have 2 rolls of that in the freezer) but it's not "all bad" I'm sure.
Thanks guys

It happens that I am going to Germany at the end of this week. Is the new APX100 available in 120 form or just 35mm? Which drug store chain sells it?

AFAIK it's only 35mm.
It's sold by DM (and maybe also Rossmann but I'm not sure about that).

Kentmere 100/400 is also only available in 35mm format.

"DM" has APX100, "Rossmann" sells Kodak bw 400. 35mm only.
