Sevo probably wants to say II model C (sometimes called IIC), like the III model F (IIIF) for the III, III model G (IIIG) for IIIa - which aren't the postwar IIIf and IIIg either...It was not a IIc, but a II.
Here it is, No. 90023.

Sevo probably wants to say model C
In the US model I was called "A", the Compur Leica was called "B", model I interchangeable was called "C" and the II was called "D".
Calling the II "C" is nonsense.

It was listed as that in a camera rating list, these often are sloppily compiled from other sources. I've found it in the Westlicht 2012 catalogue by now - they list it as II Model 'D', and they should know best...

I stand corrected - I should have known this, because I used to own one actually.Calling the II "C" is nonsense.
Being myself a Contax and Nikon guy I sometimes goof when it comes to that pesky prewar Leicas nomenklatura...
