What are the differences between the Bessa R2 and R2A? Is one built better than the other?

The big difference is that the R2A offers aperture-priority autoexposure on top of the metered manual operation of the R2.

R2 is a little closer to the R2M than the R2A, which offers aperture priority, unlike the R2 and R2M. The R2M is an improved version of the R2 (e.g. min focusing distance, meter readout, etc).
