1- Whats the porpuse of the PICT SIZE HDTV in the DIGILUX 2?
2- Is the same Quality as the 2560 but crop?
For those of you that do not know the D2 the camera has an option to have a wider viewfinder (panoramic) and its call HDTV in menu qulity.

I'd have to look it up, but I seem to remember that the resolution is nowhere close to the maximum, in fact even worse that its video-mode which is totally useless. For panorama shaped prints, crop in PS, I'd say !!

Digilux 2 whit a 512mb Memory card
Pict Size 2560=121 photos
Pict Size"2048=158 photos
Pict Size HDTV=238 photos (panoramic option)
Pict Size 1600=260 photos
Pict Size 1280=396 photos
Pict Size 640=1289 photos
Pict Size HDTV=238 photos
Base on this I can say that de Digilux is a Dual Format (crop) digital Camera. The reason Why the 512 Memory Card take few more Photos in HDTV is becouse is croping the top and botton of the picture besides that is the same quality as the 2560.
Am I wrong?
