digilux 2 price

I found on the internet a store called TRISTATE which is offerring the digilux 2 for $1,349.00.

Do you know this store? would you recommend it? Cause i have heard that some stores give a very low price but then trick you and end up charging much more. any advice? any form of preventing this?

I also saw this camera for $1,469.99 in 42nd St PHOTO.

Don't do it!

Before you do anything be sure to read this article about these scammers and then look at these pictures of the various storefronts. Don't ask me why they chose Brooklyn as their base of operations. Many of the stores are actually owned by the same people or families.

I would stick with J&R, Adorama or B&H as they are well known as being legit. From what I've heard stock will soon be running out on the Digilux 2 just as it did on the LC1.

I bought the camera from photo village today. I wanted it new, but they told me it's senseless cause they had demos for 1250 instead of 1550 for the new one. He told me that they had been behind glass all the time and that he would send me the best one anyway. the new one has one year warranty and the demo has 3 month. I'll tell you guys later how it came.

Something not right there. New D2s have a three year warranty.
