Digital Black and White.

For those of us "of a certain age", this is probably a familiar scene. I'm on the every three months schedule for my primary physician visits. Just doodling around waiting for the doc. Fuji X-Pro2 with 23/2 Fujinon lens.

The results: I'm in pretty decent shape for an old fat guy with arthritis and a crappy spine.

Yesterday was also a frustrating day for me but not as painful as Godfrey experienced. It was election day and evert candidate I voted for lost. But then something really frustrating happened. My Number One D3 started acting up. I use that camera a lot so it's the natural one I reach for. Anyway, it will no longer autofocus except on the mode where it chooses the subject. Cranky bastard also started resetting itself from aperture priority to program. And it does other weird things like changing the manual focus lens information from whatever I'm using to the 50/1.4 lens. The focus confirmation dot also no longer works. It's like it wants to be in charge and tell me what I should do. This AI crap is getting out of control....

Today I took that D3 with the Nikkor 20/3.5 AI (no, it's "automatic indexing") and experimented with it. Manual focusing without the confirmation dot wasn't bad. I shot some at ƒ/3.5 in low light and they were okay. Outside, easy. DOF is deep with 20mm. I'm posting a couple below this post. The EXIF data is wrong, however. No matter what lens I use it shows up as the 50/1.4 lens.
