Digital Black and White.

I think this was the very first photo I took with my brand new toy TLR Chuzhao camera. It was an accident. Clicked the camera while looking at it fresh out of the package. I haven't used it since then. Neat little camera but it doesn't inspire me. Looks good on the shelf with the old Nikons, Kievs, etc.

Those iPhone photos are really good. I'm impressed.

Thanks! This was a three-week family vacation and we brought only carry-on bags, so space was very much at a premium. My DSLR was too big and heavy, and I haven't owned a compact digital camera in about 10 years. I would have tried to cram a film camera in my bag but I was concerned about film getting X-rayed/scanned multiple times during the trip and didn't want to have to worry about requesting hand checks. As it was, just using my iPhone worked out fine and I was quite pleased with how my photos turned out.

I was going to say that I prefer the black-and-white output of the iPhone to color photos from it, but I pretty much always prefer a camera's black-and-white output. I like color photography, just not my color photography. I have a couple of black-and-white camera apps that I like—Argentum and Provoke—and the "Noir" filter in the stock camera app isn't bad either. I edit almost all my photos (iPhone, digital camera, and scanned film) on my iPad, and I really like Darkr for black-and-white conversion. Snapseed is also quite good for black-and-white conversions.

I'll post more photos later.

I just got a new iPhone 16 yesterday and I'm still kinda lost on it. I've never used my phone cameras for anything much but these are really nice shots from Disappointed Horse.

Thanks @Dogman. You’ll get the hang of the iPhone in no time.

Here’s another shot on my trip to France last year. These were all taken with my iPhone 13 Pro. This was actually shot in color, edited in the Apple photos app, and converted to black-and-white in Darkr.

Edited to add: This is Gordes, a commune in Provence. Gordes - Wikipedia. Interestingly, the lead photo in the Wikipedia article is the exact same view as my photo below.
