All digital images, except those shot with Leica's Monochrome cameras (and an old Kodak DSLR whose name I forget that had a BW only sensor) are color images converted to BW.
If you shoot with a camera that has a built-in BW mode; it's doing the conversion in camera before it saves the JPEG. It's better to do the conversion yourself; I have never seen any in-camera BW images that had the tonality that is possible with a good conversion in Photoshop or using a plugin like Silver EFEX.
Some photo's of Delft (The Netherlands) all JPG's Acros-R film simulation with some minor tweaking like cropping and tilting the horizon, otherwise SOOC.
