Fujifilm S5 Pro

People like to use the phrase "film like". The number of available, and no longer available, film emulsions multiplied by the number of available and no longer available developers created an entire huge universe of "what film looks like", so I have never been able to conceptualize what "film like" might even mean. Thousands of possible looks.

Having just said that :) the output of the Super CCD sensor in the Fujifilm S5 Pro can be configured to come closer to what I am pretending film "looks like" than any other digital sensor I have ever used.
Your mileage may definitely vary.

Nice photo Larry, a very delicate feel.

I'm with you on the old Fujis, I've kept an old S3 for that film-like look. Beautiful color with skin tones from those cameras also.

Awesome! I was never impressed by this lens sharpness on film (received negatives for evaluation under enlarger), but on digital it is kind of smooth.

Shot with a Sony A7s with a Rokinon 85mm f1.4.

I really like this camera - in addition to having the ability to shoot at insanely high ISOs (which in itself is of little value to me) it handles normal ISOs with absolute aplomb. I guess these two things go together. And when mated with this Rokinon lens which renders very nicely, it is a very nice package for portraits in either color or black and white.
