Digital Black and White.

Reduced Size For Postging.jpgGoofin'. Pentax K-1, 100/2.8 macro. Converted to B&W in Sliver FX 6, Down-sized and converted to Grayscale in PS2023. On the original, you can count the subjects' eyelashes. Sometimes it is hard to know what to do with all that resolution. Shot outdoors facing south in open shade, no extra lights.

Dogman, Lovely expression. I suspect that the groomer got too close to the Crown Jewels.

Out and about with the Pixii A2572 running the beta firmware with AUTO ISO. This is in the Pixii native mono option where somehow the Bayer filter is taken out of the equation in the RAW file. These are JPG, SOOC. Nice, I like it. It choked and overexposed the first two today but settled down and ran fine for the next 25 shots. I'll spare you the gamut. But here are two. Yes, I do think I will abandon the -0.5 EC and just shoot it straight and see if I do get blown highlights. I am just starting in B&W after leaving it when I left my Vito II a long, long time ago, like 1954. The lens is the Canon 28mm f/2.8 LTM.

We have mostly boats here. There is lumbering but looking at trees gets boring faster than looking at boats. Here's two boats. The first is a resurrected pilot boat, the Arrow II. It ran pilots out to ships coming in across the Columbia Bar and those going out would have their pilots retrieved on the far side of the Bar, in the Pacific.

The second is a private power boat in drydock, "up on the hard," and I thought it looked nice so I snapped it. Yes, both underexposed. I have changed the EC to 0. Which means I can't blame the camera anymore. Well, I can, but that might be stretching it a bit. The boats:
