Tis the season. For the "fall webworm" that is. Locally called a "bagworm", this is actually a different little bug. According to what I've learned recently, it is NOT a threat to the tree, people or world peace. It builds its web, has a few glorious events and then wanders off...eventually. I saw this display in the backyard this morning and the backlit sunlight makes it appear like woven strands of silk and silver. Nikon D810, Nikkor 85/1.8G.
Nikon Z5, Voigtlaender 15/4.5 SW Heliar lens...pretending to be an SWC.
Also pretending to be Tri-X film by shooting at ISO 12,800 with electronic shutter--pretty fair grain look.
