Ambling...well, stumbling, around the neighborhood this morning and I found the electric company replacing power poles. My life is so boring these days even that looked exciting to me.

How could I have been happy when I asked my wife to bring me my little bag with my Leica camera to the hospital. And instead, she went for another, smaller bag, which actually had a Leica camera inside, only it was the D-Lux 5.

But when I think about the situation that landed me in the hospital, which was caused by a small scrape on my knee, which in turn, turned into a serious and life-threatening infection. So yes, it is certainly not the happiest situation a person can find themselves in. But now it is much better - I am recovering at home; including taking commercial doses of antibiotics.

And finally, the little Leica D-Lux 5 (a camera I bought about 15 years ago and barely used), was a blessing in disguise. So my dear wife was not exactly wrong in her choice.
