Was this SOOC, or processed from Raw? Either way, it suits the image perfectly.

I'd be interested to know how, because I never managed to get such a pleasing mono 'look' from my A7ii.

Thanks , I only shoot in RAW , just to retain all detail , highlight and shadow information , then for B&W I generally use Lightroom 6 or Darktable , a bit of dodge and burn , add tiny bit of microcontrast , adjust white balance, most of the time I prefer low contrast BW and to keep it realistic.

Thanks for these details. As it happens, LR6 and Darktable are two programs that I use... so I guess this shows that I haven't quite mastered them!
