My favorite times when visiting a city are those periods in-between or after having visited the required “must visit” spots. It’s then that I can aimlessly wander and immerse myself in the cultural rhythms of the people and my surroundings.
In Istanbul I generally feel that there are more occasions where people are uncomfortable when seeing a man actively using a camera. Here, the man we see in the background appeared uncomfortable with my using a Q2M. So, I used my iPhone 13 Pro to frame my daughter with him in the background. Usually, a cellphone as a camera isn’t seen as intruding as everyone does it but in this case I still managed to catch an expression of discomfort bordering on hostility…
