Didn't see the other thread. Did just get an email from the designers confirming it was a joke and product concept only.

I am holding out hope that Phase/Dalsa/Leaf, someone with the technology and chips already in hand, shows some interest. But I've been burned twice on this concept (thanks Silicon Film circa 2001) so... I'm not holding my breath that it will ever happen.

It'd be nice if something like this would actually come to fruition. Hate to think of all my film cameras doing nothing but collecting dust, once the last roll of film is gone.
