Digitizing my RF's

One of the things I really like about digital cams is the way they record your exposure for you. With film cams I've tried many times to jot down my exposures, but I either forget to do it or find it too disruptive to my picture taking. Then I regret it a week or so later when I review the pics and can't remember the *exact* exposure.

So, I had an idea. Those little pocket digital recorders Radio Shack sells that are about the size of a cigarette lighter. Got the cheapest one they sell and have been using it in the field. It weighs nothing and I can quickly pull it out after an exposure or two and dictate: "frames 31 to 34, bridge, 1/250 f/8" By gum, it works for me anyway! 😀

But I have another question.
I prefer the thin straps because it's easyer to wrap them around my wrist and use the wide ones only on my heavy dSLR combined with a hand strap.

In the winter I often carry my camera around my neck, tourist style (when I'm not street shooting). The wide strap is more comfortable. When I'm being more discreet, I use a wrist strap. No other reason really ...

Hehe, yep, a buddy at the uni was selling his m515 rather cheap so I went for it. Couple days ago ordered one of those 'soft' keyboards which rolls over itself and acts as a PDA case as well, should be here in some days and was cheaper than a lottery ticket...

Socke, I have one of those Contax thin straps as well that came with my black Kiev, agree that it's very comfortable to use as a wrist strap.

Well my aging Casio E-15 (WinCE 2.11) has built in one touch voice recorder I've never found a use, until now! Thanks Gene, neat-o idea!

A keyboard for a PDA, still doesn't seem right to me and feels like cheating. Thought I did get to drive one of those new Tablet PCs today... I can see the advantages to Photoshop already!
